Getting an LLNL account
- Follow the instructions on https://www.llnl.gov/lcforms/policies/onsite_access_policy.html
- Once you get your account, tell Dav (dav at sci.utah.edu) that you need to get in the 'uintah' group.
VPN (Virtual Private Network) access
The LLNL machines require you to login with VPN prior to getting into the machine.
- You may need to contact the LC Hotline Account Specialists via e-mail to lc-support@llnl.gov to request a VPN account. The request could take several days.
- Follow the instructions on LLNL VPN page. Make sure to follow the VPN-C instructions
Logging in
- Remember, you have to use the shared "vpn for llnl" password.
- Open the VPN connection to LLNL
- ssh -p 922 <machine-name>.llnl.gov
